Dear Parents,
The Schools Governance Council are looking for a parent representative from FS1 parents whose child will be transferring into FS2 in September. Nomination forms are available from the school office.
Today we say goodbye to Mrs. Payne who is leaving Gibraltar to take up a new post in Germany. Mrs Payne has made a significant contribution in this school and we would like to say a big “Thank You” for all her work. We wish Mrs. Payne every success in her new post.
Sadly we have a small minority of children who are finding it increasingly difficult to follow school rules at lunchtime. The school is considering the best way to tackle this issue which may include sending children who exhibit poor behaviour home at lunchtime. Parents are invited into school at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 31st January (Community room) to participate in an open meeting to discuss this issue and find positive ways to support the school maintain a safe and well disciplined environment.
Parent’s evening will be during the week beginning 6th February. The timings will be sent out next week.
Families who will be leaving the Rock at the end of term please inform the school office on Ext: 200 (5)5550 or send a note to the class teacher. Please keep us informed of any changes to TOUREX dates.
Parents Please Note That Whilst The School Fully Understands The Need For Occasional Authorised Absence, We Strongly Advise Against Unnecessary Absence. Absence Will Not Be Authorised If Children Are Being Kept Off School Due To Grandparents/Cousins Etc Visiting. Children Should Be In School Every Term Day They Are Fit To Attend. The School Is Carefully Monitoring All Absences And Will Take Action Where Attendance Is Poor. Your Help In This Matter Will Be Fully Appreciated.
A Number Of Children Continue To Arrive In School Each Morning Without A Coat. I Would Like To Remind Parents That Children Will Be Sent Out To Play In Most Weather Conditions, Rain Included, And A Coat Is Essential.
